To remove the mass of the intake manifold we place the head valve cover rail down on the mill and use a end mill to cut through the manifold bottom and ends.
After the mass of the factory manifold is removed we set the head on the exhaust side to mill the area parallel.

This is what the head will look like after machining for the manifold, we suggest marking the head before machining. Average 12 valve heads will have between .625-.650" in this area. There will be only enough room for the valve cover to seal when you are finished.

We will be glad to answer any questions you have when you prepare to machine your cylinder head.
